Classical guitar duos, trios, quartets, larger ensembles (up to 9 players) or any classical guitar and solo instrument (including voice) combination are welcome. Performers are allowed to use sheet music. Teachers are allowed to be part of the group with 4 or more participants. The oldest ensemble competitor cannot be older than 18th as of August 30th, 2021
All competitors must submit live video (unedited live video recording) by April 19th. Video recording should be up to 7 minutes and should display contrasting pieces. Recording has to be submitted as one uninterrupted recording. Please email YouTube video links to [email protected] A teacher is allowed to be part of the ensemble such as quartet or larger. Student teacher duet is not allowed.
Seven ensemble finalists will be announced via mail by May 10th. The finalists’ videos will be streamed online on June 10th. The finalists will be asked to email a new video recording of just one piece up to 5 min long by June 1st. We prefer if the finalists will record a different music work, something they didn’t play at the first round, but we don’t require it. We understand that due to COVID-19 there were restrictions on gathering and some ensembles might not had a chance to prepare bigger repertoire. Three winners will be announced on Sunday, June 13th 2021 via social media and email.
